WCO Kyoto ICT Guidelines

Purpose: to assist Customs administrations in the planning, implementation and management of information technology in core business processes such as clearance, duty collection and risk management.

Summary:
The Guidelines identify principal business areas where the application of IC technologies are deemed viable. The Guidelines address a range of areas including legal issues and requirements, security, client consultation and a brief explanation of various communication protocols. The Kyoto ICT Guidelines do not cover hardware and/or software solutions.
