Purpose: the WCO published the AEO Implementation Guidance as part of the SAFE package to provide Customs administrations with practical guidance on how to establish an AEO programme.

Summary:The WCO AEO Implementation Guidance present a phased approach to the implementation of an AEO programme. The nine (9) phases cover the phases from preface & analysis to pilot execution, evaluation, and roll out of further pilots until completion of the implementation. The guide contains an action list in the Annex.
